As Assessor,

I will restore integrity to the leadership role of the Contra Costa County Assessor.

I will return consistent fairness to the assessment process.

I will reduce the number of assessment appeals filed in the county by providing effective and transparent workout solutions for Contra Costa County property owners before they feel compelled to file an appeal.

I will restore the confidence of our citizens, as well as city and county governmental agencies by effectively seeking fairness for the property owners of Contra Costa County during the assessment process.

I will reduce the number of valuation errors by increasing staff competence through effective training, and efficient application of assessment policies and procedures.

I will place more emphasis on fair and impartial employee performance incentives and implement supportive management practices.

I will create a synergistic working culture within the Assessor's office that will restore pride of performance and generate countywide faith in the Assessment process.
