Political Philosophy for Brad Shore
Candidate for |

|
My "Action Principles": I PLEDGE TO: 1. Provide for improved `quality-of-life' in North Long Beach by identifying and supporting cultural diversity and arts programs. This may include bringing `Concerts-In-The-Park', a Farmers Market, more bike lanes and a major chain grocery story in the 9th District. 2. Work with neighborhood leaders, associations, `watch groups' and concerned residents to incorporate your ideas in the planning or our neighborhoods and expanding a strong sense of community through the establishment of my `Block-Builders' program. 3. Fight to expand community-based policing and maintain a police response time of 3 minutes or less. 4. Work to identify and implement Green solutions to restore good air and water quality along with reducing noise and traffic congestion. 5. Promote after-school and vocational training programs to engage and prepare youth, thereby reducing gang appeal. 6. Work with constituents and city staff to eliminate duplication and wasteful spending thereby redirecting those monies to pay for core service programs and identified needs. 7. Champion small and commercial business development, retention and higher paying jobs in my district. 8. Advocate for senior and veteran health, housing and employment assistance programs. 9. Ensure accessibility and constituent input both in the Field and Downtown. 10. Be easily reached and establish quicker two-way communication. Change Happen! Shore For Long Beach. |
