Vote No on this Recall

I have brought diversity and independent thinking to the city council. Although our city council recently passed yet another city budget that runs in the red, I voted against it and continue to advocate fiscal responsibility.

A small group of intolerant people have launched a mean-spirited and deceptive recall campaign to overturn the 2008 election. This recall is nothing less than voter nullification. This recall election has cost the Cotati taxpayers more than $20,000.00 to silence an opposing point of view and fresh new ideas.

I am not being recalled for breaking any laws or any city policies, but for only having a difference of opinion and voting my conscience. Is that fair?

Holding hands and voting in lockstep with one another is not what a healthy democracy is all about! I refuse to play politics as usual and am considered a breath of fresh air to many citizens in Cotati who are frustrated and have been ignored for too long.
