Marc Levine + Leadership for San Rafael's FutureBy Marc LevineCandidate for Council Member; City of San Rafael | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I'm running for San Rafael City Council to preserve our local neighborhoods, help better prioritize city funding in this difficult budget environment, and lead us into a greener, healthier future with improved public safety facilities. As your Councilmember, I will take action to: protect neighborhoods' unique characteristics; support local businesses and press for more high-quality merchants; implement technological efficiencies so we can continue funding graffiti abatement and public safety programs. As Executive Director of ABDF.org, a humanitarian agency for Tsunami victims in Sri Lanka, I know how to set priorities and meet tight budgets. I have also been active locally with the Sun Valley Neighborhood Association and am a CERT graduate. As a former technology developer, I see opportunities to utilize technology to achieve our goals. We should have better outreach with residents, more online forms and information gathering. My wife, Wendy, and I are raising our family here. I'm fully invested in seeing that San Rafael is a great place to live and work for the next 20 years. |
