I am asking for your support to represent the needs of our Hartnell Students. Why? Because they deserve the best! Improve Access for Students. Expand Services for Students. Create clear pathways for students. Making a Difference for our Students and for the Salinas Valley...A Proven Leader Ready to Make a Difference.My name is Erica Padilla Chavez and I am asking for your support to represent the needs of our Hartnell Students. For the last few years Hartnell has suffered set backs and has been distracted with other non academic matters. We need to go back to the basics and place the focus where it belongs. The student community needs to be the PRIMARY reason for all board decisions and with your support we can begin to restore the integriy of our community college. For the last two years I have served as a school board member in Soledad and I've worked with my colleagues-each with their own perspectives-to secue a good education for our students. Not all students have the same needs. Some may need clear pathways to higher education while others need vocational training that will provide them with jobs or career opportunities. We need to create these pathways for all. My Professional and Educational Experience: UC Berkeley Alumni Current Soledad Unified School Board Trustee Current Vice-President of the Monterey County School Board Association Current Soledad Rotary Member Former University Academic Department Manager Current Health Management Analyst for the County of Monterey Personal Information: Married with two children and live in Soledad. |
