I am a political moderate who believes that the best thing for education is to keep the politics out of it as much as possible. I will glady "reach across the aisle" to anyone with a good idea. I believe anything is possible as long as you don't care who gets the credit. I utilize teamwork and consensus building to resolve difficult problems.

People can be afraid of change but change is part of life. I have served on many Boards and have never seen one that did not benefit from an infusion of new blood, ideas, perspectives, talent, and energy.

Yes, experience is valued and essential. But change is necessary to keep moving forward. The challenges that face the College in the next 10 years are unprecedented in current history. One of my favorite sayings is that "What got us here, WON'T get us there".

I plan to use my diverse experience, abilities, and contacts, to meet the challenges and opportunities the College is facing and to help COC be succesful in the coming years!
