Lisa is an alumnus of Beverly Hills High School (BHHS `82) who received her GED in 1981 and graduated. She earned a Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Southern California in 1986. Lisa married Igor Korbatov, Esq., in 1985, a Horace Mann Alum and a Beverly Hills High School graduate and they have three children. Lauren graduated from BHHS in 2007, Anna Bella currently attends BHHS (class of 2011), and their youngest, Elizabeth, is a student at El Rodeo School, (class of 2016). Lisa is a co-owner of Amalgamated Real Estate Services (ARES), a commercial property management company. She currently manages 20 commercial buildings in the Downtown Fashion District and on the Westside of Los Angeles. Lisa's experience in commercial property management has enabled her to isolate problems and find solutions on a daily basis. Lisa has a long history of activism in Beverly Hills and the surrounding area. She initiated and co-wrote a resolution with a sitting LA City Councilmember to grade schools much the same way restaurants are graded in our city. This resolution is currently on its way to the California State Assembly for bipartisan review and approval. She has also repeatedly petitioned the Beverly Hills School Board for more sanitary, safer campuses, even going so far as to hire a photographer to help her document the poor physical condition at Beverly Hills High School.
