As a Professor and Vice-Chairman of Pediatrics at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine and Director of the Radiation Biology Cancer Research Laboratory at Childrens Hospital, Dr. Gomer is actively involved in teaching, research, faculty development, and budgetary management. He is an advisor to the National Institutes of Health, the National Cancer Institute, and the Department of Defense. As a current School Board Member, Chuck uses his expertise and experience to ensure the Glendora schools continue to emphasize academic excellence. He received the Child Advocate Award from the Glendora Council PTA in 2001 and 2003 and the Continuing Service Award from the PTA in 2006. His commitment to the Glendora schools is well known to teachers and staff, but felt best by the students and community he represents.
