Candidate for
State Senator; District 24

Bob Mensch is currently serving his second term as State Representative in the 147th Legislative District as he runs for election in the 24th Senatorial District. As a husband, father, grandfather, a business executive and a community leader, Bob understands the issues that are most important to our communities and families.

He is dedicated to promoting economic expansion and job creation, especially for young adults. He supports preserving farmland and open space throughout the district and improving the roadway systems in our communities.

Bob's experience as Township Supervisor has provided him with the skills he needs to continue to be our area's State Representative. He has worked with numerous neighborhood based organizations to improve all aspects of life within our community.

Bob is the former Chairman of the Upper Perkiomen Regional Planning Commission, where he established a plan to have all four Regional Planning Commissions in the western half of Montgomery County effectively meet and communicate on multi-regional issues including: Indian Valley, Central Perkiomen, Upper Perkiomen, and Pottstown RPCs. Bob has also worked with leaders in neighboring Milford Township to create an inter-municipal, non-profit corporation called the Unami Watershed Conservancy.

Bob has devoted a great deal of time to Perk-Up!, an organization wholly directed toward strengthening the economic vitality of the area. Working with a number of leaders, former Senator Rob Wonderling among them, Bob brings to the table an outstanding effort to better re-connect the area with state government. These changing times call for active leadership, and Bob fits that bill

As a member of the Board of Directors and past President and Vice-President of the Upper Perkiomen Ambulance Association Bob has used his work experience to transform the organizational and business structure of the UPVAA to what is today; a financially and operationally successful enterprise. Bob had also served as Vice-President of the Green Lane Community Ambulance for two years.

Bob was born and raised in Pennsburg, and has lived in Marlborough Township since 1975. He earned his BS in Business from Valley Forge Military College. He has been married for 37 years to his wife Joann and together raised two children. He now enjoys being a grandfather to his 11-year old grandson Zachary. Bob has also enjoyed his memberships with the Red Hill Band, which he played with for 37 years. He helped found both the Valley Woodwind Ensemble, and everyone's Halloween parade favorite, the Geryville Fire Company Hobo Band.

Bob worked for AT&T for 28 years. He started out as an Account Executive, worked his way up as a Sales Trainer, taught Applied Finance for graduate school credits, and then became a National Account Manager to Bethlehem Steel. Bob was then promoted to Branch Systems Manager, then National Sales Manager, District Staff Manager and finally District Sales Manager.

In 1997 Bob saw the opportunity for professional growth and left AT&T for ARBROS Communications as Sales Director and General Manager, where he managed sales and operations for the entire East Coast. He had the responsibility for more than 100 employees and managed a budget over $18 million.

Bob has used his work experience and community leadership skills in his service as Treasurer and later as President of the Franklin Club, a Political Action Committee located in Upper Perkiomen Valley. He currently serves as Vice-President to the Franklin Club's successor the Century Club.

Bob Mensch is a strong, proven and dedicated leader who shares our values and interests. He has gained the skills we need in a leader from his experiences working with community, charity, corporate, and political organizations.
