Political Philosophy for Barbara P. Moyer
Candidate for |
1) Guarantee students have the tools and support necessary to achieve to their fullest potential. 2) Insist on acceptable rationale to justify expenditures. 3) Scrutinize the use of taxpayer funds to ensure a direct link to improving student achievement and efficiency throughout the district. 4) Hold staff accountable to ensure that we are striving to reach our district goals in a timely and efficient manner. 5) Promote the use of data to evaluate our effectiveness in all areas of operation. Some of the challenges we face in the next couple years include: modifying our students' educational experience so each can be successful in the 21st century; ensuring that all of our students are provided challenging curriculum and appropriate, effective support; focusing efforts on reducing the achievement gap; overseeing the responsible infusion of technology across the district; providing an educational program as efficiently as possible; and negotiating the contracts of our teachers and administrators in 2010. Now more than ever we must be ever mindful of how we spend our taxpayers' dollars. I will continue to ask tough questions and will work diligently to provide a superior educational experience for each of our students in a fiscally responsible manner. |
