Questions & Answers

1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

My demonstrated commitment to the community, strengthened through my experience and application of sound legislative policy, make me a more qualified leader to implement the hard tasks that face the neighborhoods I represent.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (50 word limit)

Economic Development
- Expand incentive programs that support businesses in the 21st Ward (Façade, etc.)
- Continue to work with SLDC, MetroLink and the Penrose/O'Fallon/Fairgrounds Business Association on the Natural Bridge Development Plan and the Rosalie Industrial Park plan.

Housing
- Increase quality, desirable housing by supporting developers and programs that provide capital for redevelopment, such as the Federal and State Low Income Housing and Historic Tax Credits.
- Improve neighborhood stability by targeting abandoned buildings by supporting rehabilitation and strategic demolition.

Public Safety
- Implement initiatives to support law enforcement legislation and increase community safety such as the Weed & Seed and TMAP (Nuisance Properties) programs.
