Businesswoman Cynthia Velasco is the best-qualified candidate for Gardena City Clerk

Gardena has been my residence for over 25 years. My family and I have successfully operated different businesses in the City of Gardena. My professional experience has set the foundation and continues to expand my skills in the areas of, but not limited to, customer service, bookkeeping, compliance and implementation of policy and procedures, quality control and contract negotiations.

With a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Cal State University, I participate in the city's events and represent my business on the Chamber of Commerce. I am also a Notary Public and translator (Spanish/English).

Gardena has provided me with so many opportunities. Those opportunities given to me by the City of Gardena, have taught me early in life to give back to my community. This is the main thrust behind my desire to become your City Clerk.

The City Clerk responsibilities embrace the same skills which I perform on a day to day basis.

As your City Clerk I pledge to:
Increase voter participation through outreach programs
Enhance communications between the citizens and City Hall
Implement technology to modernize the City Clerk's office
