Here are some of the issues I've been involved with in our neighborhood as a private citizen.

Became involved with concerned neighbors in 1995 to support the Perry Park Gang injunction.

Worked with Bob Pinzler (Council member) to help shut down a meth hotel and a nightclub on Artesia Blvd. Both establishments were attracting a criminal element.

Lobbied the ABC and have sent petitions since 2002 to hold the bars in our neighborhood accountable for actions.

Lobbied Mark Dreiling Store Director Albertsons Artesia Blvd to up grade his store.

Lobbied California Water Service not to put a usage charge on our neighborhood water due to the fact many residents have softeners due to hard well water in the north end of town.

Alerted our neighbors that a convicted child molester was living in the 2500 block of Vanderbilt Lane.

Written countless letters to business and land owners encouraging them to be good neighbors and keep up their property.

Supporter of land use Measure DD which was passed on the November 08 ballot.

Suggested at one of the Perry Park community meetings to our current Council Member to utilize the history of surfing and it's originator on the main land George Freeth to promote the great asset to our city as it relates to tourism and trade.* Note: The City has since named a water front street in George's honor.

What I will continue to do as your elected representative in the council.

Fight for greater police presence in our neighborhoods on both residential and commercial streets. Call for a greater foot and bicycle patrols.

Lobby for a new state of the art police facility to be built in our district.

Fight to put a pool element in to the Anderson Park rehab plan.

Fight to put additional parkettes on streets in our district to reduce density in out neighborhoods.

Overhaul the section 8 housing requirements to make it equitable to all districts and hold owners of units who participate in the program responsible for maintaining their properties.

Fight to put the new transit center in a location that is best suited to utilize existing infrastructure.

Create a program to seed the city with single family homes to be offered to teachers, first responders, police officers and nurses who will make a commitment to live in our community.
