Candidate for
Council Member, Council; City of Redondo Beach; District 4

Hello, my name is Bruce Szeles. I've been a resident in the South Bay for thirty plus years and a homeowner in district four for over fifteen years. I am blessed to be Jesuit educated and my education has led me to a life of balance in the Jesuit tradition. My career for twenty plus years has been in the motion picture business.

First and foremost I am a husband and a father of two daughters', which is the paramount reason why I decided to run for our council seat. Recent safety concerns in both Perry Park and Artesia Blvd. have given me great concern about my family and neighbors safety. I am not a politician and plan to do my civic duty as your councilmen and return to being the husband of a wonderful nurse and the dad to our twins.

It is my belief that this district and my neighborhood can be better on many levels. We are after all the largest area of young families in the City. District four also generates a large portion of the sales tax that runs our City. District four deserves to share in the financial advantages and services that our City has to offer. We are no longer "felony flats" and need to be thought first when it comes to City finances and services. We have long been neglected in district four but I plan to lend a loud voice to make certain we are no longer neglected.
