RE-ELECT MAYOR JEFFREY PRANG -- MARCH 3RD West Hollywood is a very special community. As your Mayor, I have worked hard to represent our City with integrity and a vision for the future. I have been accessible and responsive to the issues and concerns most important to our residents. Most importantly, I have worked hard to ensure that our shared vision for a better West Hollywood be realized in the policies and programs we have developed. Below are some highlights of my positions and accomplishments while serving as Mayor and Councilmember. PUBLIC SAFETY
As a former Rent Stabilization Commissioner, I voted for tough new tenant protection laws and lobbied county, state, and federal officials to protect seniors and the disabled in our community from losing their Section 8 housing and voted to prohibit landlords from removing parking spaces from tenants. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Maintaining the high level of services that West Hollywood residents expect and deserve, I have advocated for responsible and sustainable development that will enhance economic growth and opportunity while protecting the quality of life in our neighborhoods. The West Hollywood Gateway and the Pacific Design Center's long-awaited Red Building will help keep our City's economy healthy and provide revenues needed to support our vital City programs and social services. INFRASTRUCTURE
West Hollywood is home to a diverse population of gay, lesbians, bisexual and transgender people, those living with HIV/AIDS and disabilities, seniors, and immigrants. I have been a tireless champion for marriage equality and domestic partner rights, and have fought to expand programs and opportunities for seniors and the disabled. I have led efforts to recognize the contributions of our Russian Veterans of WWII. ENVIRONMENT
As Mayor and Councilmember, I have worked hard to make West Hollywood the best community to live and work anywhere in California. I am proud of our City and I am grateful that you have provided me the opportunity to be of service to you and the community. I would be honored to have your support for my re-election. Please feel free to call me at home (323) 654-8433 if you have any questions or concerns you would like to share, or if you would like to get involved in my campaign. |
