Occupation: Retired Public Administrator

Claremont has been home for 31 years. My three children grew up playing on the Little League and soccer fi elds, participating in Human Services programs, theatre and the myriad of activities Claremont offers. I am convinced there is no better place to raise a family.

During all my years as a local government official in three cities, I have learned that when a City Council, with citizen input, provides clear direction and policies, good government follows. Claremont’s long tradition of thoughtful and careful planning exemplifies good government.

My priorities are building a facility for our police officers that will allow them to continue keeping us safe; deciding on the water company purchase; continuing programs to meet the needs of youth, families and seniors; preserving and protecting our open spaces; focusing on implementing the Sustainability and General Plans and supporting our business community. To accomplish all of this, our commissioners and staff must be supported and well trained.

With my strong roots in the Claremont community, extensive experience in local government and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, I pledge to work with you to maintain all that we value in Claremont.
