"Fiscal Response-ability" is the ability to correctly and efficiently respond to the economic pressures facing our city.Obviously, the economic climate we live in has changed. All bets are off regarding the possibility of funding for our city from the County, State and Federal Government. With economic pressures surrounding us, it can no longer be "business as usual". San Gabriel needs sharp business acumen and innovative vision to appropriately define, prioritize and successfully meet our fiscal challenges so that our schools don't suffer, our infrastructure can be restored and our business community revitalized and reflective of our citizens' wants and needs. "Fiscal Response-ability" means the ability to correctly and efficiently respond to today's economic environment. It means devising innovative solutions and seeking additional revenue sources to avoid further taxes on our citizens. It means a pro-active approach to restoring PRIDE in our great city. |
