Over the years, Harry Baldwin has traveled to Washington, Sacramento and other communities to obtain funding for city-related projects. Here are just a few examples:
- Rebuilding residential streets-$8,050,000 from Washington D.C., Sacramento and Los Angeles County
- Smith and Lugo Park Expansion-$2,000,000+ from County Park Bond and Mountains & Rivers Conservancy
- San Gabriel Boulevard Project-$2,309,000 from Washington D.C. and Los Angeles County
- Lowering Railroad tracks through San Gabriel-$449,000,000 in allocated funds from Washington D.C., Sacramento and Los Angeles County
Lowering the railroad tracks, part of the Alameda Corridor East project, needs an additional $160,000,000 in funding. Harry Baldwin is already at work with Members of
Congress and the Obama Administration to secure those funds to expedite this critical project for San Gabriel. This is in addition to the numerous other details of city
governance he is responsible for as a member of the City Council.
