Political Philosophy for Craig Williams
Candidate for |

|
My entire career has been about service to my country. I fought for our nation through my service in the U.S. military. A member of the Marines for 21 years now, I flew 56 combat mission in the F-18 in Operations Desert Storm, I served as JAG, and I served as an ethics advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I fought for our community as a Deputy U.S. Attorney, prosecuting drug gangs, violent illegal immigrants, and people who committed fraud against the federal government. I want to continue that service to my community, now as a Member of Congress. As a Marine and former prosecutor, I am going to take a no nonsense approach to "politics as usual" culture that permeates Washington, DC. I am going to fight corruption, wasteful spending and be a voice for the people of Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties. I am going to fight to address the energy crisis gripping our nation. We currently send $700 billion a year overseas to foreign nations, many of whom make no effort hide their disdain for democracy and the freedoms we hold dear. That needs to end. We need to utilize domestic energy resources that Democrats have locked away from the American people. In the process, we can create hundreds of thousands of American jobs and provide a tremendous boost to our economy. I am going to fight for lower taxes and fiscal responsibility. Our current Congressman, Joe Sestak, this year voted for a federal budget that will raise taxes by nearly $3,000 a year for every taxpayer in his district. That's $6,000 a year for a two-income family. We need to allow workers to keep more of their hard-earned money, not take it to feed the insatiable appetite of the bloated, wasteful behemoth that is our federal government. American people want elected officials who can get the job done. They want elected officials who are willing to reach across the party aisle to work in a bi-partisan manner to address the issues facing our nation. Congressman Joe Sestak is not getting the job done, as evidenced by Congress' single digit approval ratings, the lowest in the history of our nation. While Congressman Joe Sestak (D-Delaware County) may talk like a moderate, he is about as liberal as they come. He has a record of voting with Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) 95 percent of the time. It's as if San Francisco has two Members of Congress while Delaware County has none. On election day, I am asking for your support. I will restore our voice to Washington, DC. I will implement reforms, restore ethics to our nation's capital, and bring a true sense of bi-partisanship and common sense to Congress.
