EducationBy Margie StuskiCandidate for State Representative; District 88 | |

The better educated our citizens are, the stronger Pennsylvania and America are.I will advocate for our local school districts in obtaining their fair share of funding. I will also push to review costly State Regulations that do not produce better education results for our students but that add costs of compliance to local school districts. I do not support the application of prevailing wage on school district construction projects where contractors artifically raise the cost to taxpayers while claiming it is due to "prevailing wage" compliance. I would ask the Auditor General to examine the true cost of prevailing wage in school district construction projects. I support reviewing PHEAA to make more loans available for college students and less money on administration and board expenses. |
