Biography of Margie Stuski

Margie Stuski has devoted most of her professional and personal life to helping others.

Margie has been in public service starting with an internship in the Philadelphia District Attorney's office. She served as Deputy Director, Bureau of Consumer Protection, in the Office of the Attorney General where she went after door-to-door magazine companies who were exploiting and hurting children. She went after corruption as Counsel on the bi-partisan State Senate Committee that impeached former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Rolf Larsen for misusing his office by voting for cases that favored his friends.

While still in high school, Margie worked for a State Senator and helped draft the first Mental Health reform act in Pennsylvania which brought about an evolution of the inpatient state hospital system to one of community based provisions of mental health services. She did constituent service to help citizens with a variety of problems.

She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in three and half years with a degree in Political Science. Before starting law school at the Temple University School of Law, Margaret worked on a successful Congressional campaign and again performed extensive constituent services work as a Congressional aide.

In her twenty plus years of practicing law, Margie has spent considerable time helping people on a pro bono basis (free). She has also done some significant corruption fighting. She fought a corrupt system in the 2nd Senatorial District case in which Latino voters were deceived into voting absentee illegally. Her efforts resulted in the election being overturned and greater policing of voter fraud in the election process in Philadelphia.

Margie not only brings direct legislative experience but she has extensive business experience.

Margie helped run and market her family's business of architects and construction.

Margie also does pro bono work. Some of her cases including the reuniting of twin boys with their Father after their Mother had mental health issues, helping a family be reunited in time for their wedding when a family had visa problems from England, helping a young family buy a home by holding the mortgage until permanent financing was available.

Margie is a proud member of the Audobon Society, AARP and NRA among others.

Margie is used to working long hours and working hard. She would be honored to serve as your State Representative.
