We can grow the government or we can grow the economy. We cannot do both.

I am running for Auditor General to protect your tax dollars. I believe we can make Pennsylvania a better place to live, work, play, raise families, create jobs and build businesses.

As a business owner, I pay my fair share of taxes. And like you, I care about how my money is spent.

We need all those in government to embrace the powerful fact that the world revolves around "We the People," the taxpayers, the hard-working citizens of this beautiful commonwealth!

We can no longer tolerate the runaway spending that forces tax increases and more burdens on our families. Harrisburg is not the center of our state political universe.

The Auditor General is Pennsylvania's fiscal watchdog. That is a serious responsibility. I pledge to wake up every morning with the clear mandate to remain independent and focus on the taxpayer.

When government does not operate efficiently, the power, the promise and the productivity of our free enterprise market economy are diminished.

As a businessman from Lancaster County, I have more than 20 years of building a wide variety of enterprises. I understand how to efficiently operate budgets. I know the value of a dollar, and I know how to create measurable systems of accountability.

I will bring these same kinds of systems to government. And together we can make Pennsylvania a more wonderful place.
