Top Priorities if Elected |
- Advocate for citizens' Constitutional Convention in order to modernize the structure of our state legislature.
- Cease re-districting, or gerrymandering, to allow fair election process for minority parties.
- Reform taxation to lessen the tax burden on individual citizens, and place more financial accountability on the state government.

- Tax Reform
-
The history of taxation holds many valuable lessons that teach us about our own current policies in Pennsylvania. By eliminating wasteful government spending, my plan will create fairness in taxation and reduce the taxes we all pay.
- Citizens' Constitutional Convention
-
Instituting a new Constitution for Pennsylvania could provide real tax relief by reducing the size of the Legislature and charging it with funding both the judicial system and a defined share of the public school system, among several other ways. Our government should work for us, not itself, and its citizens should be empowered to periodically review its relevancy.
- Re-districting (a.k.a. Gerrymandering)
-
Gerrymandering seriously impedes the election process for minority party candidates. It allows our government officials to choose us before we choose them, and it insulates incumbents from media scrutiny, and the eyes of the public. This is my statement to the House State Government Committee, March 13, 2008 on the topic.
