A Single Payer Health Care System and Green Industries would Help Restore Our Economic Health
1. What should the federal government do, if anything, to ensure that every American has health coverage? How does your solution impact the anticipated shortfall in entitlement programs, e.g. Medicare and Social Security? A true single payer system should be adopted with all records computerized. Prevention oriented health care would yield huge savings over time. The overall 30-40% reduction in lifetime health costs per patient would extend the shortfall for entitlement programs. Health cost reductions for small business and free enterprise would give our economy competitive equality in the international market place. A healthier population would increase our wealth over time. I support Ralph Nader's plan.

2. Given the high cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan what steps do you propose to strengthen the U.S. economy? Legislate to drive capital toward new green industries, and away from the dying fossil fuel industries supported for 80 years by bipartisan special interests. The stagnant economy supported by Democrats, Republicans, and Lobbyists needs to be replaced. Lobbyists corrupt incumbents and Washington DC! Vote your incumbent out of Congress. Non-partisan leadership will correct the U.S. economy. Without a corrupt bipartisan majority in Congress, our economy could grow in healthy directions to solve our nation's problems.
