1. What are the two most pressing issues you will face if you are elected? (50 word limit)
|
Answer from David H. Krikorian:
The two most pressing issues I will face are the economic and financial integrity and security of our free market enterprise economy within the context of the excessive partisanship, corruption and lack of courage in our current political environment.
I believe, as many Americans do, that the Democrats and Republicans (over word limit)
Answer from Victoria Wulsin:
I know the struggles families face to send their children to school and college, to manage the family finances, and pay for the health care their families need. That is why making health care more affordable and strengthening the economy will be my top priorities in Congress.
|
2. How will you address each of those issues? (100 word limit)
|
Answer from David H. Krikorian:
The best way that I can address these issues is to lead by example. I have pledged to refuse PAC money, as it is a corrupting influence. As an Independent, I will be free from the dominance of party loyalty to pursue the best course of action on behalf of my district.
As a business owner, my perspective is pragmatic and fiscally conservative. My extensive background in economics and finance qualify me to deal directly with the banking, housing and inflation problems we are faced with. I know how to create companies and put people to work.
Answer from Victoria Wulsin:
To fix our health care crisis, we should offer tax credits to those who care for an aging parent, let Medicare negotiate for cheaper drugs for seniors the way the VA does, and offer better preventive medicine so families don't have to go to the emergency room when they get sick.
To strengthen the American economy, I believe we need to restore fiscal discipline in Washington. I also believe we should stop giving tax incentives to companies that outsource jobs to China and India. Instead, we should work together to bring good jobs back to Southern Ohio.
