Political Philosophy for Cynthia "Cindy" Redburn
Candidate for |

|
When the colonies declared their independence from Great Britain to the rest of the world, they published their beliefs and philosophy of government in a written document, known as our Declaration of Independence. Some foundational principles unique to our American form of government are:
This system of government operating in a free market economy allowed self-governing individuals to pursue their hopes and dreams in ways never experienced by common men prior to this time. In less than 160 years, this formula succeeded in making the American nation the richest, most advanced society in the world. There are a multitude of reasons that our country has slid into the economic and moral decline so evident today. The ignorance and apathy of the people regarding their role in safeguarding their liberties from those, who use their positions and powers to advance ideas and philosophies contrary to our unique form of government is only one, but a critically important one. I am committed to the restoration of our constitutional form of government and a free market economy. If elected, I will obey my oath of office to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution in all my decisions. I will use my position to advance and educate others in the principles of government found in our foundational documents, the Declaration and Constitution of the United States. |
