Economy and TaxationBy Cynthia "Cindy" RedburnCandidate for US Representative; District 3 | |

Constitutional economic policies benefit all Americans. We must follow policies that will protect American interests. We must reestablish our once strong and economically healthy manufacturing base, which has almost been destroyed by unconstitutional free trade agreements. Congress must assert its constitutional authority according to Article I, Section 8, which states, that Congress shall have the power "to regulate Commerce with foreign nations." and withdraw us from all past, present, and pending agreements that are controlling our trade policies and return us to tariff-based system that will protect American interests and eliminate unnecessary and unconstitutional tax burdens placed on the American people No man can ever consider himself to have liberty when he is under the burden of excessive debt and taxation. The unrestrained, irresponsible and unconstitutional spending practiced by Congress must stop. A national debt in excess of 9 trillion dollars has placed the American people and their yet unborn posterity under a greater tax burden than the serfs during the Middle Ages. |
