Candidate for Council Member; City of Ojai

As a second-term Council Member and 26-year resident of Ojai, I know how a strong, responsive city government can enrich the quality of life for all citizens of the community. GOALS:
1. To preserve and protect Ojai's hometown character.
2. To work for balance among our three primary assets: a natural environment; a diverse population; and a healthy economy.
3. To vigorously and openly serve the needs and interests of an informed public.

I STRONGLY SUPPORT:
1. Reducing traffic by promoting public transportation and increasing pedestrian safety.
2. Planning for infrastructure maintenance and capital improvements.
3. Preserving the village tradition of a strong central business district.
4. Showing respect for our open spaces and natural biodiversity.
5. Continuing our heritage of artistic and cultural opportunities.
6. Implementing programs to support The Roadmap to a Sustainable Ojai.

I PROUDLY SERVE: Ventura Regional Sanitation District, assuring environmentally safe management of solid waste and wastewater in Ventura County.

Ojai Basin Groundwater Management Agency, protecting the quantity and quality of water for Ojai.

SAFE Coalition, promoting policy for a Substance Abuse Free Environment.

PERSONAL: Four adult children. Loyola University (Chicago); Ventura College, AA. Professional background in communications and technology.
