An open letter from Atherton neighbors supporting Elizabeth Lewis for Atherton City Council.

We, the residents of Atherton, need a fresh point of view on our Town Council! Elizabeth Lewis will bring that freshness with her to Town Council.

In the spring of 2008, Elizabeth Lewis conducted a Town-wide Resident Survey, the vast majority of those surveyed felt Atherton was on the wrong track and many have had negative experiences dealing with our Town government.

Elizabeth Lewis has the skills, and perspective, to get Atherton back on the right track. She is moderate, open-minded, solutions-focused and always looking for the common ground for the greatest good.

Elizabeth will work for you, listen to you and represent you. She is uniquely qualified with more than 20 years of community service:

• Committee for Better Schools
  - Prevented the closure of Gunn High School
  - Re-opened Jordan Middle School
• Board President Miramonte Mental Health Services
  - Negotiated bond financing that ensured financial security
• Steering Committee for the Creative Entrepreneur Project San Jose

• Creating open, inviting and transparent access to our Town government
• Implementing solutions to traffic safety and making crucial infrastructure repairs
