Partnering For the Future of Our Historic Buildings

Through a partnership with the private sector, public agencies and nonprofits, we can restore our most endearing historic buildings, like our old Administration Building.

For example, the City Redevelopment Agency and the owners of a few of the old commercial buildings in the downtown core have worked together to refurbish the business exteriors, providing an attractive downtown atmosphere. I believe that sort of cooperative effort can be expanded on a much larger scale, providing a strong sense of community identity and unity.

As a council member I will seek to enlist public agencies, property owners, financial interests and local citizens to join cooperatively to economically and emotionally invest in our future.
