My Vision for Lincoln Unified: Putting Children FirstBy Van-Ha To-CowellCandidate for Board Member; Lincoln Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I have seen first-hand how education can make a difference in the lives of children and families. That's why I believe passionately in putting the interests of children first in all decisions and activities at Lincoln Unified.I emigrated to the US from Viet Nam at age 19. Unable to contact my family after the war, I raised my younger brother and worked three jobs while completing my Bachelor's degree. I later earned a Master's degree in English Language Development. I am a passionate believer in the power of education. I have 25 years of teaching experience in public schools and have taught students of different needs - from second language learning to gifted education.
