Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Eric Payne

Candidate for
Board Member; Mountain House Community Services District

This information is provided by the candidate

My wife and I have been residents of Mountain House for 5 years and recently welcomed our first child Owen Tyler into the world. We absolutely love it here and truly appreciate all that Mountain House offers today as well as the extraordinary master plan which provides so many possibilities for tomorrow.

Your newly elected MHCSD Board will have several key challenges before them which require immediate attention such as safety, after school programs for kids and a volatile housing market affecting our sense of community. These challenges require effective leadership, character and tough decision-making.

Mountain House needs leaders who can face today's challenges, anticipate future needs, avoid unseen crises; and who are accountable and responsible to the constituents served.

I believe in dynamic community leadership which serves all residents, and allows said residents the ability to develop and actively participate in the growth of their community. I believe in a fully accountable, transparent government. As a resident since early on, I've witnessed the transformation of what was once a cluster of homes housing individuals into a community that now houses neighbors and friends. As the founder of Mountain House Little League, I've seen the power of our community and it's amazing.

I am a graduate from both UC Davis and Humphrey's School of Law. I'm a fiscal conservative who believes in spending taxpayer money wisely and effectively. I'm a consensus-building problem-solver, and I get the job done +period.

The well-being of our children is without question the most important thing thus reinforcing the importance of continuing the success of our community in perpetuity.
