Smart Voter Additional Endorsements for James Hiramoto

Candidate for
Board Member; Lammersville School District

This information is provided by the candidate

I will never get comfortable asking people for endorsements. It's like fishing for compliments and those that know me, know that is not the type of person I am. However, I have been reminded on numerous occasions that if people only get a picture of me from my point of view, how does the voter weigh what I have to say verses what I actually do

I am honored and humbled by the following endorsements (in alphabetical order):

"Dr. Hiramoto is an exceptionally well qualified Educator and School Psychologist to serve on a School Board of Directors. His academic background and years of professional experience in local, state and federal education will enable him to effectively engage the schools and the community in this period of "Big Visions and Hard Realities" to create schools that our children need in the 21st century. I wish we had him on our School Board when I was Assistant Superintendent of Schools."

Joseph Adwere-Boamah PhD
Retired Assistant Superintendent of Oakland Schools
Assistant Professor of Education

"We have had the pleasure of knowing and caring for James and Rebecca's precious children (Will & Grace ). James is an outstanding and dedicated husband, and loving father. He has made a commitment to the lives of children and their education. He would be a tremendous asset to the Lammersville School Board."

James & Rochelle Akins

"James Hiramoto has been a valuable resource~. His focus on putting students first has always been apparent. I have worked with numerous school boards in my 13 years as an educator and he would be an exceptional member. However, more importantly, James is a dedicated father who is passionate about providing quality education for his own children as well as all children. He will work tirelessly to make sure that schools will be able to service the learning needs of a diverse population."

Vickie Larson Fairchild

"If you want a problem solver with a strong vision towards the future, James Hiramoto is your candidate! He will not only work tirelessly to end the problems plaguing the district, but diligently establish the foundation for education program expansion for ALL students. Under James's stewardship, Lammersville School District can boldly embrace an educational system that will allow the students to globally compete and succeed in the 21st century."

Irving Leung, EdD

Assistant Professor

~My apologies. Some text had to be deleted in order to ensure "that any individual political endorsement not be communicated in a way that suggests it has" the support of any organization that qualifies for tax exempt status also known as, a non-profit organization. Taken directly from an email I received from the university I work for as a general reminder to all employees, "section 501(c)(3) provides that an organization may qualify for exemption only if it "does not participate in (including the publishing or distributing of statements) any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office." I am being extra cautious because I asked for the endorsement and was truly honored to receive it. I believe the deletions I made ensure that you the reader not confuse the writer's statement with that of a district's endorsement of me.
