Experience as a classroom teacher, school site administrator, former Board Trustee, and substitute teacher will allow a unique perspective to add to the dynamics of the MUSD school board. This experience and knowledge will help to make informed decisions as a trustee. I will also use input from the diverse range of views in the community to inform my board decisions. My primary focuses, and a board trustee; is to support what benefits or is in the best interest of the children. Another important issue is to continue to strive for academic excellenct for all children. I am encouraged by the progress MUSD has made in behalf of the children, but I beleive there is still work to be done! I want to see additional professional development hours for teachers and support personnel to keep them up-to-date with the ever-changing education requirements. Goals for MUSD: Focus on EVERY student. Making student success the priority. Valuing all employees with respect, appreciation, and equity. Spending monies wisely. Working with community to gather input to most efficiently serve the greatest number of students.

We have worked hard to insure equal access to quality education through MUSD. Elect me as your Trustee and we will continue to support MUSD'S academic reputation and restore confidence in the leadership of our schools.
