Who is Sheryl Schmidt
My husband, Karl; our two children, Brant and Jessica; and I have called the Pedley area home for the past ten years. August marked the start of my eighteenth year of teaching in San Bernardino County. I began my career as a third grade teacher and now have been teaching students that are blind and visually impaired for fourteen years. I have a Master of Arts degree in Special Education. And hold a clear Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development Certificate, clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and clear Specialist Instruction Credential in Special Education: Visually Handicapped.

I am involved and committed to the people and community of Jurupa as evidenced by my community service:

• I will end my 4 year term on the Jurupa Area Recreation and Parks District Board in December.

• I have assisted with the Children`s Christmas Party for the past 6 years.

• Jurupa Rodeo - Chair for 2008 & 2009

• West Riverside County Businessmen`s Association President from 2004-2009
