Political Philosophy for John I. Norman
Candidate for |
The greatest natural resource in a community is its children. Giving children opportunities to succeed and develop into productive citizens is one of the defining characteristics of a school district. This should be fostered and planned for at all levels, beginning with the governing board. I can proudly say that this has been my focus for the past eight years and will continue to be in the next four should I be re-elected. As our community changes and grows, these opportunities for children should grow and expand as well, but the focus should remain the same. I offer a broad perspective in my 34 years as a community resident and my 30 years as a teacher and coach. I have been married for 28 years, my wife being a third generation graduate of San Jacinto High School. My two children are teachers in the San Jacinto Unified School District and were fourth generation graduates of SJHS. I served as board president for five of my eight years and provided leadership and continuity to staff and community. If re-elected, I will faithfully serve all members of our school community, the children, parents, teachers and staff. I believe in San Jacinto. John I. Norman |
