We all are too aware of the negative press coverage our town council has received recently from their inability to address problems and issues confronting Moraga. This inability may stem from genuine personality conflicts to personal ego gratification to personal dislike for one another. Whatever the reason, this has got to stop as nothing is getting done. As a former Moraga School Board member, I served with many diverse personalities but we found the common ground to address the sometime passionate issues confronting our schools. Finding solutions to difficult issues such as superintendent selection, improving the after-school program, negotiating teacher contracts, or holding contractors accountable for school construction was all part of the job. If elected, I bring that same spirit of stakeholder inclusion and compromise to get the job done. |
