Public Safety
- Leading the changes in quality of life for our residents.
- The Housing Authority Section 8 program is being improved due to Antioch's involvement.
- Rental Inspection program established.
- Chief Hyde hired and police staffing increased by 14 positions in the past 3 years.
- Creating the VIPS Program and creating the Community Service Officer positions.
- Advocated to restore and fund Canine Unit.
- Significantly increasing the number of sworn police officers.
- Help clean up Deer Valley Plaza, Regal Cinema and Gas City
Economic Development
- Sales Tax revenue to the City 2000/$5,387,000 in 2006/$ 10,134,000 sales tax more than doubled between 1998 and 2007
- Economic development (Slatten Ranch, Macy's, make-over of Somersville Towne Center, light commercial and office buildings throughout Antioch (Bluerock, Hillcrest, Lonetree, Verne Roberts Circle, new larger Costco, second Lowe's, remodeled Auto Center, Kaiser, expansion of Sutter Delta with a new maternity ward and non-emergency medical center.

Highway 4 / Transportation
- Highway 4 widening. Lead efforts in Washington DC for a special allocation of $36 million dollars to accelerate and complete this critical project.
- Successfully campaigning for Prop 1A (2005) which protected local revenues from raids by the State.
- Successfully campaigning for Prop 1A (2006) to protect our gasoline sales tax from being raided by the State.
- Over an 80% reduction in new residential development (1166 new home building permits issued in 2000 and less than 200 issued in 2006).
- Successfully campaigning for Measure J (extension of the ½ cent sales tax for transportation) and East County road and transit projects.
- Mello-Roos committee allocating funding for the planning and eventual development of a police substation, library and civic center at Prewett Park.
- EBART and San Francisco Water Transit. Bringing both transit alternatives to Antioch residents and all residents of East County. EBART has over $400 million in funding and the Ferry service should begin the EIR process this year with service expected to start in
