Audit City Spending. It has been 8 years since the last citywide audit. Before squandering our redevelopment funds and our Measure S monies to backfill our budget, Pinole needs a citywide audit.

Institute Measure S. Create a Gang Suppression and Violent Crime Taskforce to fight gangs and violent crime. The citizens of Pinole in 2006 voted and approved a 1/2 cent sales tax to hire additional police officers to fight gangs and violent crime. Measure S is instead being used to pay for overtime costs.

Protect Public Assets. Require citizen approval of the sale of public assets. The city council is now selling city properties that have produced income for Pinole. The properties are basic assets and have contributed to our fiscal stability and reserves.

Force Developers to Pay. No bailouts for multi-national corporations. The city council has re-negotiated a $2.3 million loan with a multi-national corporation with no penalties - which means Pinole is losing money we're owed.
