I am a father of three boys ages twelve, eleven, and seven. As a result I have been coaching my three sons in baseball, basketball, and football during their respective seasons for the last five years. I enjoy this time because my children are still at an age when I am not a "loser" yet.

I have been trained as a fingerprint expert by the FBI and deemed so by the Suffolk Superior Court. I used to work in the Identification Unit (CSI) of the Boston police before suffering a heart ailment. Before my career in law enforcement I had the privilege to work with Mayor Kevin H. White in many capacities including driving him during his administration.

I resided in South Boston for the first thirty-five years of my life before moving to Abington. I attended Gate of Heaven School for grammar school, The Abbey School in Canon City, CO for high school, and attended the University of Colorado.

My wife Patricia Preston Toomey resided in Dorchester (St. Greg's) until we moved to Abington. Tricia is one of eight children and I am one of six children.
