How can Stockton be called an "All American City" and yet, have one of the highest crime rates in the Nation?

Crime, gangs and graffiti plague our neighborhoods. Expensive downtown improvements are nice but shouldn't come at the expense of safe streets.

We've hired more police and that's a good start but there's more we can do to fight crime.

Children come home to an empty house because parents must commute to the Bay Area to find work. We need quality family wage jobs that do not require a 4 hour commute so parents can spend more time with their families.

We need more after school programs for kids + positive alternatives to drugs and gangs.

We need to get troublemakers off the streets + lock up the violent criminals and get the non-violent offenders into a program.

Stockton needs proven leadership if we are to solve the difficult challenges facing our city. I have served two terms on the Manteca Unified School District Board including three years as its President and seven years on the Stockton Parks and Recreation Commission. I know how to get things done.

My family and I have lived here since 1980 and have lived in Weston Ranch for 13 years. My wife, Jill, and I have three children, the oldest, Zachary, is in military service in Iraq.

Stockton needs safe streets, good schools and quality jobs + my three goals as your City Councilmember. I pledge to represent you with integrity and would appreciate your vote.
