Reducing Government Expense and Waste

By Tom Vinson

If I had a multi-billion dollar budget of someone else's money and had no accountability to balance that budget or to live within my means, I would probably be very reckless with it, too. For far too long, our so-called representatives have ignored the responsibility they have to the public. The more they can take, the more they will take. Basically, this is the equivalent of massive embezzlement of company funds. When the people finally wake up from their sleep and discover they have been robbed for decades, the resulting turmoil will not be pleasant. If we are to avoid unimaginable chaos and the destruction of our way of life, we must cut up the credit cards and put every member of government back to productive work at a rate of pay equal to that of an average worker. Say, $50,000.00 per year. If the ability to steal from the boss (We, the People) is removed, we may able to find some good, honest folks willing to do what it takes to sort out the mess we are in. For what it's worth, I am a newcomer to politics. I doubt I could make things any worse.
