I believe that higher taxes depress the ability of business and individual success and therefore am opposed to the tax increases that many Democrats seem to wish for. There must be a realization that there is a difference between increased taxes and increased revenues. The tax cuts of the John Kennedy, Ronald Reagan and G.W. Bush administrations resulted in economic expansions that benefitted all Americans, while the tax increases under Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton led to recessions.

Likewise, I believe that the reckless spending by government has led to potential harm to our way of life and led to the expansion of government. Some of this occurred under Republicans earlier in this decade. This was disappointing to me and many of my fellow Republicans who believe in a smaller, less intrusive government.

Based on this philosophy, I support Republican candidates who are fiscally responsible and will help to bring about a future in which we and our children can all pursue success.
