For far to long government has been living the very good life at our expense. For far to long government has been living the very good life at our expense. First rate travel expenses and accommodations are reported regularly. Top notch health care and retirement packages are the norm. That is why I support House Bill 1977 which will begin to put new government employees more in line with the private sector. Massive pork barrel projects and spending seem to be endless. The small business owner is usually precluded from government contracts. Government contracts should be open to any bidder that can accomplish the task. We have miles and miles of roads and bridges in dire need of repair, many of which are repaired under government contract. Prevailing wage needs to be repealed so that the public can benefit from lower labor costs on government contracts and have safe bridges before it is to late. I believe we can do it. |
