Cooperation Moves Legislators to Positive Outcomes for AllBy Kathy C. LichtCandidate for State Representative; District 6; Republican Party | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Legislators and party members need to work cooperatively to bring positive results back to the communities. Most current legislators seemed to have led themselves into a position of stalemate where nothing is being accomplished for the good of the community residents. Each party member has locked into their course of action and refuses to acknowledge the potential benefit of another party's ideas or options. This was never the intent of the party system in our democracy. The party system was intended to offer discourse and discussion on various options and means to reach one common goal - to better the lives of the citizens being served. The current antagonist framework of thinking needs to change to better serve our community. A good, productive idea is good, no matter where it originates. Why ... the people in our very own community have some excellent ideas and solutions to help move our economy forward. Legislators need to be prepared to listen more, courageous enough to bring the people's ideas to the table, and humble enough to share credit for creative and innovative solutions. Imagine the possibilites for our community if we were all working cooperatively, without hidden agendas and egos, towards one common goal to make our community strong and viable with diversity in employment, education, recreation, and community assets. It starts with one vision. It grows in one community at a time. Share your vision with your legislator. Together we can make it reality. I am Kathy C. Licht, proud to be an American and proud to live in Crawford County, Pennsylvania. I sincerely appreciate your support at the polls on election day. Thank you. |
