ABOUT RYAN

Ryan Gilbert comes from a family that places high value on socially responsible business leadership and public service. His father operates a real estate company and served as a City Council Member in the family's native city of Johannesburg.

Following in his father's footsteps, Ryan co-founded and managed 3 technology services companies. PropertyBridge, a payment services company in Oakland, has created dozens of jobs over the past 4 years, and is recognized as one of the fastest growing and most innovative companies in residential real estate services.

In 2007, Ryan was honored to receive The East Bay Business Times' Real Estate Entrepreneur of the Year Award, honoring the "best and the brightest in East Bay entrepreneurship."

After more than a decade of successful business management, Ryan looks forward to applying his skills and ideas to the challenges of city government. He is ready to get to work making our great town of Piedmont even better, as your City Council Member.
