Candidate for
Commissioner; Township of Springfield; Ward 5

I have been married for the past 29 years to my lovely wife Joanne. We have raised four children in Springfield Township during the past 26 years. (Jennifer, Jeff JR.,James and Jaclynn). All our children went throught the Springfield School District. We were very involved with the school and township activities. Many summers we spent at the Township Pool. As a member of the Youth Club Board of Directors for over 15 years and a coaach in the SAA, I had a unique opportunity to meet many fellow residents and understand the needs and the make up of our fine community.

Some of my achievements have been to start up the Middle Schools Boys Lacrosse program. After three sucessful years the school district elected to take over the program and it is a fully santioned Spring sport. As a member of the Delaware County Park Board we have had the unique ability to add parkland to the County syste. We are dedicating additional acreage in Smedly Park this Spring for active recreation to the residents of Delaware County. This is a great benefit to Springfield and surrounding communities.

For the last 5 years the Springfield Run For Heros has held a certified 5K Run/Walk in October which benefits the Hero Scholarship fund for the children of fallen Police/Fire and EMS for educational purposes. This Run has averaged in excess of $25,000.00 annually to this cause.

In my career I have worked for a large company where resourses have been plentiful. This was a great experience. Currently I work in small business and know how to be resourceful when required. As a member of the management team I need to have the understanding and vision to maintain our business plan and plan for the future.

I have managed large work forces and been responsible for all aspects of business operations. Many of the projects I have overseen have been in the large to medium sized construction projects. My responsibilities include marketing, sales, engineering, field operations, personnel, profitability and customer satisfaction.

This diversity allows me to use my knowledge and experience in the Leadership of Springfield Township.
