Brunch with WSSD Board Candidate.
In 2006, after Jon Auritt resigned from the Wallingford Swarthmore School Board, the Board chose Carr as Jon's replacement due to Carr's background as an engineer, his experience with construction at Swarthmore College, his commitment to public education, and his high level of volunteerism at WES and SHMS. Since joining the Board, Carr has helped rebuild the district website to make it more user-friendly and less expensive for the district, offered professional expertise in acoustics with the middle school construction project and with the bus compound, helped analyze how to make the middle school building as green as possible, and focused on making the Board accessible through community outreach projects such as open office hours for the Board at the Furness Library. We hope you will join us for a delicious brunch and to hear more about Carr's Board contributions.
