Political Philosophy for Jason Born
Candidate for |
Safety: I will work to help continue the "tradition of service" Belmont's finest have established and support creative, relatively inexpensive ideas proven successful in other cities, such as traffic calming techniques and road beautification through plantings of trees, bushes, and flowers; and corner curb extensions. Financial: I will work to enhance the city's financial health by finding new revenue sources. Diversify Belmont's economic base by negotiating the addition of the Harbor Industrial Area and encourage high-quality mixed-use development near the CalTrain station. We need walkable neighborhoods and I will support the green sustainable building methods. Quality of Life: I will work to maintain and enhance our parks and open space. I'll work to provide more recreational opportunities and programs for all age groups. One of my goals is to bring Bocce Ball Courts to Belmont. |
