  • Downtown Sunnyvale: We have addressed the majority of the issues that were hindering the progress of the downtown area. We have stood firm and made changes that were necessary in order to build the new downtown district. We have envisioned a vibrant, dynamic, revenue producing downtown shopping and entertainment district that will be a destination for Sunnyvale residents as well as residents of our neighboring cities.

  • Onizuka Air Force Station: The possibilities are endless when it comes to this property. The future of this property will make an impact not only on the city but on the surrounding neighborhoods. As Chair of the Citizen's Advisory Committee, I have been taking an active part in working with the residents and businesses to evaluate all types of uses for this property.

  • Affordable Housing: The issue of affordable housing has plagued many individuals before me and unfortunately, will probably be an issue long into the future. In meeting with many companies during my time as Mayor, one of the main issues each time was regarding affordable housing. There are many programs that I feel can be successful in Sunnyvale. During my next term on the council, I will continue to pursue this issue and do research to bring additional programs to our attention and support study issues so we can begin to chip away at this issue once and for all.

  • The Mary Ave Bridge over 101/237- The EIR just came out on this project and we'll be studying it as well as looking at alternatives to the Mary Overpass. I feel that the alternatives were not fully addressed and am glad that we have allowed more time for input in regards to the EIR.

  • The Library bond issue- We are long overdue for a new Library. There are many new and interesting plans we can create for our library once we know how much money we will have to build it. Hopefully we'll have the community garden continue to be a learning center for the library as well as the city.
